How to make mods for 1.13

Decompiling

  1. Clone MCPConfig from the GitHub repository.
  2. In the root project directory, run gradlew :1.13:projectClientApplyPatches if you want to make a client side mod, or gradlew :1.13:projectServerApplyPatches if you want to make a server side mod.
  3. Naviage into versions/1.13/projects/server (or client). There are a couple of fixes necessary to get the code to compile:
    1. There is a missing class mcp.MethodsReturnNonnullByDefault which you will have to manually add. A copy can be found here.
    2. If you're making a server-only mod, the anonymous classes in net.minecraft.item.ItemClock and net.minecraft.item.ItemCompass need to be modified to override the method in net.minecraft.item.IItemPropertyGetter. This is never actually called on the server so you can make a dummy implementation.
  4. Copy versions/1.13/projects/server (or client) into a separate

Best VTuber Software

Best VTuber software

This is a list of the most commonly used and relevant vtubing software. The "best" will always be subjective and depend on your specific requirements. Overall, the information in this list is as accurate as I could figure it out, but there might be errors or some details might become out of date. If you find anything that needs to be corrected, please let me know. You can also note it in a comment.

Additional explanations:

  • iPhone means that an iPhone is basically required
  • iFacialMocap support means that tracking data can be received from the iFacialMocap iPhone app
  • VMC protocol means that the application can send and/or receive tracking data from other VMC protocol capable applications, allowing the combination of multiple tracking methods (e.g. VSeeFace receiving VR tracking from Virtual Motion Capture and iPhone/ARKit face tracking from Waidayo)
  • Tobii means that the Tobii eye tracker is supported

The Freenode resignation FAQ, or: "what the fuck is going on?"

IMPORTANT NOTE:

It's come to my attention that some people have been spamming issue trackers with a link to this gist. While it's a good idea to inform people of the situation in principle, please do not do this. By all means spread the word in the communities that you are a part of, after verifying that they are not aware yet, but unsolicited spam is not helpful. It will just frustrate people.

Update 3 (May 24, 2021)

A number of things have happened since the last update.

I'm trans

I'm writing this post to publicly come out as trans (specifically: I wish to transition to become a woman).

This post won't be as polished or edited as my usual posts, because that's kind of the point: I'm tired of having to edit myself to make myself acceptable to others.

I'm a bit scared to let people know that I'm trans, especially because I'm not yet in a position where I can transition (for reasons I don't want to share, at least not in public) and it's really shameful. However, I'm getting really

No, your cryptocurrency cannot work

No, your cryptocurrency cannot work

Whenever the topic of Bitcoin's energy usage comes up, there's always a flood of hastily-constructed comments by people claiming that their favourite cryptocurrency isn't like Bitcoin, that their favourite cryptocurrency is energy-efficient and scalable and whatnot.

They're wrong, and are quite possibly trying to scam you. Let's look at why.

What is a cryptocurrency anyway?

There are plenty of intricate and complex articles trying to convince you that cryptocurrencies are the future. They usually heavily use jargon and vague terms, make vague promises, and generally give you a sense that there must be something there, but you always come away from them more confused than you were before.
