a simple git branching model

a simple git branching model (written in 2013)

This is a very simple git workflow. It (and variants) is in use by many people. I settled on it after using it very effectively at Athena. GitHub does something similar; Zach Holman mentioned it in this talk.

Update: Woah, thanks for all the attention. Didn't expect this simple rant to get popular.

Why go programming language is so awesome?

I was asked once by https://github.com/jjperezaguinaga:

I am of the impression that you have a strong love fan for Go.
What's so cool about it? I'm kind of curious.

So here are my anwsers:

  • easy to learn: http://tour.golang.org took me about 15 hours to complete (with browsing documentation)
  • language is easy and minimalistic
  • awesome standard library

List of JavaScript Crypto libraries.

JavaScript Crypto Libraries

List some crypto libraries for JavaScript out there. Might be a bit out dated. Scroll to the bottom.

WebCryptoAPI

http://www.w3.org/TR/WebCryptoAPI/

This specification describes a JavaScript API for performing basic cryptographic operations in web applications, such as hashing, signature generation and verification, and encryption and decryption. Additionally, it describes an API for applications to generate and/or manage the keying material necessary to perform these operations. Uses for this API range from user or service authentication, document or code signing, and the confidentiality and integrity of communications.
