var base64 = exports = { | |
encode: function (unencoded) {
return new Buffer(unencoded).toString('base64');
}, | |
decode: function (encoded) {
return new Buffer(encoded, 'base64').toString('utf8');
} | |

The Buffer constructor is deprecated according to the documentation.
It can lead to vulnerability that can result from using it in the ws
library.
Instead, use something like this:
return Buffer.from("Hello World").toString('base64');
and
return Buffer.from("SGVsbG8gV29ybGQ=", 'base64').toString('utf8');
@budiony — thanks, saved me a lot of nerves =)
