Template- and asset-aware ETags

Declared ETags, together with Russian Doll caching, can be used to automatically mix your template and asset versions into the ETags set in your controllers. This avoids the need to blow all browser caches on each deploy and neatly contains the scope of "freshness fallout" when you tweak a view.

To include the template's version in the ETag:

  # Incorporate the cache version for this action into our ETag.
  # This allows template changes to bubble up into HTTP cache
  # freshness and bust browser caches when we make changes.
  etag do
    begin
(require 'url)
(defun get-and-parse-json (url)
(interactive)
(with-current-buffer (url-retrieve-synchronously url)
(goto-char (point-min))
(re-search-forward "^$")
(json-read)))
(defun get-movie-json (title &optional year)

AngularJS ngFocus and ngBlur directives - one way to get them before they get released. Before using, consider re-naming ngFocus and ngBlur to something that doesn't invade the ng namespace, e.g. replace all 'ngFocus' and 'ngBlur' strings with 'ngcFocus' and 'ngcBlur' (where c = cats/custom).
app.directive('ngFocus', ['$parse', function($parse) {
return function(scope, element, attr) {
var fn = $parse(attr['ngFocus']);
element.bind('focus', function(event) {
scope.$apply(function() {
fn(scope, {$event:event});
});
});
}
}]);

Convert Last.fm loved tracks to your Google Play Store Music Play All Access Subscription Service by Google™. It creates a new playlist rather than adding the tracks to your library willy-nilly. See code for more details.
#!/usr/bin/env python
# Lastfm loved tracks to Google Music All Access playlist. As noted in the comments you do need the All Access subscription thing otherwise it will always find 0 songs.
