What is your greatest strength and how do you know?

According to the results of the survy, my greatest strenght is that I'm cooperative-practicle. Meaning I "process in a straightforward, sincere and supportive manner. I am relational, optimistic and often content with my roles. I focus on the issues at hand and value broad, general guidelines." I personally thought that this explained me perfectly, I'm very passive and am happy to help in anyway that I can. I'm not afraid to ask questions, or to stop and farther explain things to others that need it explained in a new way.

How do you work best? I work best surrounded by others.

I do not prefer to learn alone because I lack the confidence to believe that what I am retaining is on track. I enjoy being hands on and doing by being shown step by step. I often have a hard time comprehending things if I am reading on my own and am unfamiliar with the topic I am trying to teach myself.

What is your greatest area of improvement?

Based on the questionar, I think what I need to improve on is trusting in my own abilities. I often times doubt my own intelligence and whether or not I'm on the right track, or if i am efficiently comprehending things. In a group environment, I will often times stay quite and listen to the group and wait until im told what to do. I need to work on being confident enough to speak up, even if I am not correct, because I believe I could learn more it i spoke up more often.

How do you hope to maximize your strengths for your new career in software development?

I am genuinely hopeful that by attending Turing, I will gain the confidence in myself to believe in myself more. I plan to step outside of my confort zone and work on believing in my own skills and intelligence. I want to work on speaking up more and sharing my owne ideas when working in a group setting. But I also plan on working on not getting emotional when I am trying to teach myself something and not getting it on the first try.

How might knowing about your strengths and working preferences benefit you as a software developer?

Taking this survey gave me a peak at who I am and how my mind works. I plan on workig on strengthening my weaknesses and gaining confidence in myself. I am an incredibly hard worker, I just need to learn to trust in myself. I believe that improving on my skills in a group project setting will majorly benifit me when I am in a work environment outside of Turing. I am genuinely excited to work on and improve myself in a professional way.
