STJ takes the pills and stuffs the bottle back into the pocket of his suit. The man who looks like Dr Hyde turns to greet him. He recognises his face and his heart starts beating faster. It’s too late to turn back now and this chance encounter is actually worse than meeting with Dr Hyde. This is the man whose vote could change his life forever. When he sees STJ his lips curl just enough to let him know he’s smiled.
“Ahem…” STJ fakes a cough bringing a hand to his mouth, “I thought the investors’ meeting was scheduled for today?” He begins. As he opens his mouth again to speak the man cuts in.
“You don’t have to pretend to be nice. You’re not getting any funding from me.”
A pink saturates STJ cheeks and he looks away. “Uh, sorry, bad choice of words,” he mumbles.
