Using Q.js, a while loop where the condition is itself a promise
'use strict';
var Q = require('q');
// `condition` is a function that returns a boolean
// `body` is a function that returns a promise
// returns a promise for the completion of the loop
function promiseWhile(condition, body) {
var done = Q.defer();

Adds what amounts to an =ImportJSON() function to a Google spreadsheet... To use go to Tools --> Script Editor and add the script and save.
/**
* Retrieves all the rows in the active spreadsheet that contain data and logs the
* values for each row.
* For more information on using the Spreadsheet API, see
* https://developers.google.com/apps-script/service_spreadsheet
*/
function readRows() {
var sheet = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSheet();
var rows = sheet.getDataRange();
var numRows = rows.getNumRows();

Modified example Gist for Alfred 2 to use Amazon Suggest for Amazon.de (instead of the default Amazon.com). Note: Remove `<?php .. ?>`, which I only added for syntax highlighting purposes.
<?php
require('workflows.php');
$w = new Workflows();
// Grab input and build query url string
$in = "{query}";
$url = "http://completion.amazon.co.uk/search/complete?method=completion&q=".urlencode( $in )."&search-alias=aps&mkt=4&x=updateISSCompletion&noCacheIE=1295031912518";
// Grab the data from Amazon
$str = $w->request( $url );

escape all (not-already-escaped) double-quote chars in a string
// NOTE: only escapes a " if it's not already escaped
function escapeDoubleQuotes(str) {
return str.replace(/\\([\s\S])|(")/g,"\\$1$2"); // thanks @slevithan!
}
escapeDoubleQuotes(`ab`); // ab => ab (nothing escaped)
escapeDoubleQuotes(`a"b`); // a"b => a\"b
escapeDoubleQuotes(`a\\"b`); // a\"b => a\"b (nothing escaped)
escapeDoubleQuotes(`a\\\\"b`); // a\\"b => a\\\"b
escapeDoubleQuotes(`a\\\\\\"b`); // a\\\"b => a\\\"b (nothing escaped)

Try to cancel all jQuery AJAX requests currently running
$.xhrPool = [];
$.xhrPool.abortAll = function() {
/* Original example used _underscore api
_.each(this, function(jqXHR) {
jqXHR.abort();
});

How to move to a fork after cloning
So you've cloned somebody's repo from github, but now you want to fork it and contribute back. Never fear!
Technically, when you fork "origin" should be your fork and "upstream" should be the project you forked; however, if you're willing to break this convention then it's easy.
* Off the top of my head *
1. Fork their repo on Github
2. In your local, add a new remote to your fork; then fetch it, and push your changes up to it
git remote add my-fork [email protected]
