Exposing a directory on the host machine to an LXC container #blog

Exposing a directory on the host machine to an LXC container

  1. Log into the container and create an empty directory, this will be the mount point
  2. Log out and stop the container.
  3. Open to your container's config file
    • For regular LXC containers: /var/lib/lxc/mycontainer/config
    • For unprivileged LXC containers: $HOME/.local/share/lxc/mycontainer/config
  4. Add a new line above the lxc.mount directive, that follows the format below. Substitute proper paths as necessary:
    • lxc.mount.entry = /path/to/folder/on/host /path/to/mount/point none bind 0 0
  • Both of these paths are relative to the host machine.
package main
import (
"log"
)
func a() []*int {
foo := make([]*int, 10)
for i, v := range foo {

Fix blurry fonts on some external monitors when using MacBook Pro Retina

How to fix blurry fonts on some external monitors when using MacBook Pro Retina

It seems that graphcis and fonts look rather blurry on some monitors when hooked up to a MacBook Pro (Retina). This might fix the issue for you:

  1. Download patch-edid.rb from http://embdev.net/attachment/168316/patch-edid.rb

  2. Execute in Terminal (without the $):

    $ ruby patch-edid.rb

  3. Copy produced folder (example: DisplayVendorID-22f0) to /System/Library/Displays/Overrides (authorize if needed, if the folder exists, backup it before)

Including git version in setup.py files. (Requires at least _one_ tag in the repo) Normally used to make things like, "python setup.py sdist" give you a predictable name for files. Normally used with tags on the repo like 0.1 or 2.3.0 You should add RELEASE-VERSION to MANIFEST.in so that end users of the tarball can use this too.
include RELEASE-VERSION
include version.py
# Anything else you normally use
