Convert mp3 to wave format using ffmpeg
ffmpeg -i input.mp3 -acodec pcm_s16le -ac 1 -ar 16000 output.wav
# To convert all mp3 files in a directory in Linux:
for f in *.mp3; do ffmpeg -i "$f" -acodec pcm_s16le -ac 1 -ar 16000 "${f%.mp3}.wav"; done
# Or Windows:
for /r %i in (*) do ffmpeg -i %i -acodec pcm_s16le -ac 1 -ar 16000 %i.wav

Utf8 string encode/decode using regular expressions
/**
* Encodes multi-byte Unicode string into utf-8 multiple single-byte characters
* (BMP / basic multilingual plane only).
*
* Chars in range U+0080 - U+07FF are encoded in 2 chars, U+0800 - U+FFFF in 3 chars.
*
* Can be achieved in JavaScript by unescape(encodeURIComponent(str)),
* but this approach may be useful in other languages.
*
* @param {string} unicodeString - Unicode string to be encoded as UTF-8.

Git HowTo: revert a commit already pushed to a remote repository

Revert the full commit

Sometimes you may want to undo a whole commit with all changes. Instead of going through all the changes manually, you can simply tell git to revert a commit, which does not even have to be the last one. Reverting a commit means to create a new commit that undoes all changes that were made in the bad commit. Just like above, the bad commit remains there, but it no longer affects the the current master and any future commits on top of it.

git revert {commit_id}

About History Rewriting

Delete the last commit

Deleting the last commit is the easiest case. Let's say we have a remote origin with branch master that currently points to commit dd61ab32. We want to remove the top commit. Translated to git terminology, we want to force the master branch of the origin remote repository to the parent of dd61ab32:

Cryptographic Best Practices

Cryptographic Best Practices

Putting cryptographic primitives together is a lot like putting a jigsaw puzzle together, where all the pieces are cut exactly the same way, but there is only one correct solution. Thankfully, there are some projects out there that are working hard to make sure developers are getting it right.

The following advice comes from years of research from leading security researchers, developers, and cryptographers. This Gist was [forked from Thomas Ptacek's Gist][1] to be more readable. Additions have been added from

Examples of sequential, concurrent and parallel requests in node.js

Concurrency in JavaScript

Javascript is a programming language with a peculiar twist. Its event driven model means that nothing blocks and everything runs concurrently. This is not to be confused with the same type of concurrency as running in parallel on multiple cores. Javascript is single threaded so each program runs on a single core yet every line of code executes without waiting for anything to return. This sounds weird but it's true. If you want to have any type of sequential ordering you can use events, callbacks, or as of late promises.

Originall From: Posted 2015-05-29 http://ubwg.net/b/full-list-of-ffmpeg-flags-and-options
This is the complete list that’s outputted by ffmpeg when running ffmpeg -h full.
usage: ffmpeg [options] [[infile options] -i infile]… {[outfile options] outfile}…
Getting help:
-h — print basic options
-h long — print more options
-h full — print all options (including all format and codec specific options, very long)
