The experience of using Node.JS with TypeScript, ts-node, and ESM is horrible.

There are countless guides of how to integrate them, but none of them seem to work.

Here's what worked for me.

Just add the following files and run npm run dev. You'll be good to go!

There are two types of markup in Liquid: Output and Tag.

Output markup (which may resolve to text) is surrounded by

{{ matched pairs of curly brackets (ie, braces) }}

Tag markup (which cannot resolve to text) is surrounded by

duplexify - compose a Duplex stream from a Readable and a Writable stream
pump - pipe streams together and close all of them if one of them closes
