Cross origin local storage sharing example (using an iframe and postMessage)
const CrossOriginLocalStorage = function(currentWindow, iframe, allowedOrigins, onMessage) {
this.allowedOrigins = allowedOrigins;
let childWindow;
// some browser (don't remember which one) throw exception when you try to access
// contentWindow for the first time, it works when you do that second time
try {
childWindow = iframe.contentWindow;
} catch(e) {
childWindow = iframe.contentWindow;

Connect to another host with your docker client, without modifying your local Docker installation

Run commands on remote Docker host

This is how to connect to another host with your docker client, without modifying your local Docker installation or when you don't have a local Docker installation.

Enable Docker Remote API

First be sure to enable the Docker Remote API on the remote host.

This can easily be done with a container.
For HTTP connection use jarkt/docker-remote-api.

Creates and prepares an Elasticsearch index, using the Node.js client. Closes the index before putting settings and mappings. The response and error handlers are optional, remove them if necessary.
var elastic = require('elasticsearch');
var client = new elastic.Client({ host: 'localhost:9200' });
var index = 'myindex';
var type = 'document';
(function init() {
Promise.resolve()
.then(deleteIndex, handleError)

Reasons an FCM notification can be delayed

Reason 1: Force Stopped

When an app is in a "Force Stopped" state most events including FCM/GCM messages for push notifications will not be received.

An app can be placed in this state in the following ways.

  • From Settings > Apps, "Force Stop" is pressed.
  • Long pressing the back button on some devices.
  • Using a 3rd party task killer like Greenify.
  • App is closed on a Huawei or Xiaomi device due their custom Android tweaks.

Virtual hosts

Let's say you want to host domains first.com and second.com.

Create folders for their files:

What are Javascript Generators?

##what are generators##

  • They're pausable functions, pausable iterable functions, to be more precise
  • They're defined with the *
  • every time you yield a value, the function pauses until .next(modifiedYieldValue) is called
var myGen = function*() {
  var one = yield 1;
  var two = yield 2;
  var three = yield 3;
 console.log(one, two, three);
