Create a new GitHub Issue from a Google Form submission

Wiring up a Google Form to GitHub is not that difficult with a little bit of Apps Script automation. All you need is a Google account, a GitHub account, and a web browser...

Set up your GitHub Personal Access Token

Personal access tokens provide an easy way to interact with the GitHub API without having to mess with OAuth. If you don't already have a personal access token with repo or public_repo access, visit your GitHub settings page and generate a new token.

Be sure to copy your token some place safe and keep it secure. Once generated, you will not be able to view or copy the token again.

Set up the Form & Spreadsheet

  1. Create a Google Form.

cmake - handling executable and library with same name
# Lets say we want to add a library and an executable, both with the same name.
# In this example, it is resman
add_library(resman ${src_cpps} ${src_hpps} )
target_link_libraries(resman ${Boost_LIBRARIES} ${LIBYAML} ${LIBFMT})
#
# Add resman executable
#
# We call the executable resman-bin
add_executable(resman-bin main.cpp )

Effective Modern CMake

Effective Modern CMake

Getting Started

For a brief user-level introduction to CMake, watch C++ Weekly, Episode 78, Intro to CMake by Jason Turner. LLVM’s CMake Primer provides a good high-level introduction to the CMake syntax. Go read it now.

After that, watch Mathieu Ropert’s CppCon 2017 talk Using Modern CMake Patterns to Enforce a Good Modular Design (slides). It provides a thorough explanation of what modern CMake is and why it is so much better than “old school” CMake. The modular design ideas in this talk are based on the book [Large-Scale C++ Software Design](https://www.amazon.de/Large-Scale-Soft
