Custom HTTP Routing in Go

Custom HTTP Routing in Go

Basic Routing

Responding to requests via simple route matching is built in to Go's net/http standard library package. Just register the path prefixes and callbacks you want invoked and then call the ListenAndServe to have the default request handler invoked on each request. For example:

package main

import (
@jasesmith
jasesmith / atom-vertical-file-tabs.less

For vertically stacked open file tabs, put this in your `./atom/styles.less`
atom-workspace-axis.vertical atom-pane {
flex-direction: row;
.tab-bar:not(:empty) {
box-shadow: inset -1px 0 0 #181a1f;
resize: horizontal;
height: auto;
display: block;
padding-right: 1px;
padding-bottom: 3em;
min-width: 14em;

fix: Nginx: stat() failed (13: permission denied)

Nginx: stat() failed (13: permission denied)

from https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25774999/nginx-stat-failed-13-permission-denied

Nginx operates within the directory, so if you can't cd to that directory from the nginx user then it will fail (as does the stat command in your log). Make sure the www-user can cd all the way to the /username/test/static. You can confirm that the stat will fail or succeed by running

sudo -u www-data stat /username/test/static

A resilient Go worker

// This is an example of a resilient worker program written in Go.

// This program will run a worker, wait 5 seconds, and run it again.
// It exits when SIGINT or SIGTERM is received, while ensuring any ongoing work

// Unexpected panics are also handled: program won't crash if the worker panics.
// However, panics in goroutines started by the worker won't be handled and have
