For some reason steam deck SD card was screwed up and causing the system not to boot. It is a 512GB card and read as having 800GB+ of updates, which is nonsense. Games downloading to it got stuck and were UPDATING for "years". Uninstalling was failing due to being "busy". And read/write to the SD card took about a minute (could be seen in emulating games disrupting the experience)
1 - I took the SD card to another PC. In theory you do this on the deck, but steam must not be running in desktop mode
