kyleturner / Remove Submodule
Created January 5, 2012 01:07
How to remove a submodule from a Github project
To remove a submodule you need to:
Delete the relevant line from the .gitmodules file.
Delete the relevant section from .git/config.
Run git rm --cached path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
Commit and delete the now untracked submodule files.

How is git commit sha1 formed

Ok, I geeked out, and this is probably more information than you need. But it completely answers the question. Sorry. ☺

Locally, I'm at this commit:

$ git show
commit d6cd1e2bd19e03a81132a23b2025920577f84e37
Author: jnthn <[email protected]>
Date:   Sun Apr 15 16:35:03 2012 +0200

When I added FIRST/NEXT/LAST, it was idiomatic but not quite so fast. This makes it faster. Another little bit of masak++'s program.

Usage:
/* fix_fft.c - Fixed-point in-place Fast Fourier Transform */

All data are fixed-point short integers, in which -32768
to +32768 represent -1.0 to +1.0 respectively. Integer
arithmetic is used for speed, instead of the more natural
floating-point.
For the forward FFT (time -> freq), fixed scaling is
performed to prevent arithmetic overflow, and to map a 0dB
sine/cosine wave (i.e. amplitude = 32767) to two -6dB freq
