GitHub OAuth Busy Developer's Guide

GitHub OAuth Busy Developer's Guide

This is a quick guide to OAuth2 support in GitHub for developers. This is still experimental and could change at any moment. This Gist will serve as a living document until it becomes finalized at Develop.GitHub.com.

OAuth2 is a protocol that lets external apps request authorization to private details in your GitHub account without getting your password. All developers need to register their application before getting started.

Web Application Flow

  • Redirect to this link to request GitHub access:

end
end
#!/usr/bin/env zsh
if [[ -s "${TM_PROJECT_DIRECTORY}/.rvmrc" ]]
then
source "${TM_PROJECT_DIRECTORY}/.rvmrc"

Dynamically load JavaScript files with callback when finished
// Example:
JavaScript.load("/javascripts/something.js");
// With callback (that’s the good thing):
JavaScript.load("http://www.someawesomedomain.com/api.js", function() {
API.use(); // or whatever api.js provides ...
});
#!/usr/bin/env bash

Node.JS static file web server. Put it in your path to fire up servers in any directory, takes an optional port argument.
var http = require("http"),

port = process.argv[2] || 8888;
http.createServer(function(request, response) {
var uri = url.parse(request.url).pathname
