Redirecting GitHub pages after a repository move

Redirecting GitHub Pages after a repository move

The problem

You have a repository, call it alice/repo. You would like to transfer it to the user bob, so it will become bob/repo.

However, you make heavy use of the GitHub Pages feature, so that people are often accessing https://alice.github.io/repo/. GitHub will helpfully redirect all of your repository stuff hosted on github.com after the move, but will not redirect the GitHub Pages hosted on github.io.

The solution

fedora public bridge configs

Container / VM Bridging

About

Traditionally virtual machines and containers are exposed on a bridge which is solely available behind a single IP address exposed behind network/port address translation (NAT/PAT). This is, in general an acceptable practice but leads to some configuration challenges when testing out technologies like network booting of hosts, firewalling, equal cost multipath, etc.

This configuration will allow a user to move the IP address of the host to an internal bridge

package main
import (
"fmt"
"os"
"time"
"github.com/godbus/dbus/v5"
)

Add tailscale to an EdgeRouter and surviving system upgrade

Adding tailscale to an EdgeRouter (and surviving system upgrades)

I suggest you run sudo bash on all of these so you're the root user.

Installing

  1. Download tailscale and put the files in /config/. Find the latest stable or unstable version for your EdgeRouter's processor (ex. ER4 is mips and ERX is mipself)
sudo bash # if you havent already
