In this short guide we'll review some new Chrome DevTools features for "function scope" and "internal properties" by exploring some base JavaScript language concepts.

Closures

Let's start with closures – one of the most famous things in JS. A closure is a function, that uses variables from outside. See an example:

Creating a clean gh-pages branch

This is the sequence of steps to follow to create a root gh-pages branch. It is based on a question at [SO]

cd /path/to/repo-name
git symbolic-ref HEAD refs/heads/gh-pages
rm .git/index
git clean -fdx
echo "My GitHub Page" &gt; index.html

Step 0:

Get Homebrew installed on your mac if you don't already have it

Step 1:

Install highlight. "brew install highlight". (This brings down Lua and Boost as well)
