Example Vector mTLS

Testing to confirm that mTLS works in Vector to Vector connections.

Alice and Bob are mutually authenticated using their own TLS self signed certificates. A malicious attacker, Mallory, can not impersonate Alice, nor can they impersonate Bob if both Alice and bob set tls.verify_certificate = true and set tls.ca_file to the other's self signed certificate.

Pure ESM package

The package that linked you here is now pure ESM. It cannot be require()'d from CommonJS.

This means you have the following choices:

Use ESM yourself. (preferred)
Use import foo from 'foo' instead of const foo = require('foo') to import the package. You also need to put "type": "module" in your package.json and more. Follow the below guide.
If the package is used in an async context, you could use await import(…) from CommonJS instead of require(…).
Stay on the existing version of the package until you can move to ESM.

My Darktable Workflow

Basic workflow

Copy a film roll (a directory of RAW images) into a directory on the machine running Darktable.
Import the film roll into Darktable.
Review the images using lighttable mode and remove any images that are beyond repair.
Take a snapshot of the image so we can do a before and after comparison.
Adjust the white balance.
Exposure compensation and recovery.

Terminological Note

Docker compose as a systemd unit

Create file /etc/systemd/system/[email protected]. SystemD calling binaries using an absolute path. In my case is prefixed by /usr/local/bin, you should use paths specific for your environment.

	I did experiment with .gif backend and non hardware accelerate backend, It sucks.
	CPU usage was so high (40% up just for idle), unacceptable for my laptop.

	Running with those backend for such a really long time will slowly turn your laptop into the hot potato.
	But don't be upset, we can reduce those cost.

	Using the video player with hardware video decoding support can reduce the cost.
