Notify Sentry of a new release via Capistrano with Auth Token
# This task will notify Sentry via their API[1] that you have deployed
# a new release. It uses the release timestamp as the `version`
# (like 20151113182847) and the git ref as the optional `ref` value.
#
# This task requires several environment variables be set (or just
# hardcode the values in here if you like living on the edge):
#
# ENV['SENTRY_API_ENDPOINT'] : API endpoint, https://app.getsentry.com
# ENV['SENTRY_ORG'] : the organization for this app
# ENV['SENTRY_PROJECT'] : the project for this app

Chrome/Gmail attack received 11/03/2016. Not sure if the Chrome meta refresh + data:text, html technique is novel.

The following attack will display a "you've been signed out" page for GMail, and attempt to steal your account credentials.

DO NOT PUT ANY ACCOUNT CREDENTIALS INTO ANY TABS CREATED AFTER VISITING THESE LINKS :)

I received an email in my GMail inbox with a fake attachment image, styled to look like the real GMail attachment UI:

fake

This linked to a page that ended up displaying a fake "you've been signed out" link, via the data:text/html... URL feature of Chrome:

Upstart config for a Rails app using Unicorn HTTP server

Using Unicorn with Upstart

This configuration works with Upstart on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

The reason why it needs to be done this way (i.e. with the pre-start and post-stop stanzas), is because Upstart is unable to track whever Unicorn master process re-execs itself on hot deploys. One can use it without hot-deploys and run Unicorn in foreground also, it then only needs one exec stanza.

This presumes you are not using RVM, so no voodoo dances.
