The [OpenTechSchool](http://www.opentechschool.org/) has set up and hosted a few tech workshops and meetups here in Berlin now. Aside from the monthly [Beginners Meetup](http://blog.opentechschool.org/2012/09/beginners-meetup-2.html) and hosting the [Udacity Global Meetup](http://www.meetup.com/opentechschool/events/81572632/) we hosted workshops for program beginners in [Python](http://blog.opentechschool.org/2012/09/a-look-back-at-the-first-python-beginners-workshop.html) and [Javascript](http://blog.opentechschool.org/2012/08/a-look-back-at-js-for-absolute-beginners.html) on our own and on the premise of [CampusParty](http://blog.opentechschool.org/2012/08/looking-back-on-otscamp-at-campus-party-berlin.html).

One thing that was extraordinary popular on CampusParty was the **Workshop on Git for beginners**. And we decided to do it again, this time with a closer focus on version control as a major benefit in code sharing (by using git and github) for beginners - free of charge.

So if you are interested in helping to coach [join our git coaches mailinglist](https://groups.google.com/a/opentechschool.org/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/coaches.git). No need to be a git or github expert your knowledge and experience will be useful to beginners.
