"source": "# Compare the luminance of Jet and Viridis against linear data\nI'm using the [colorspacious package](https://colorspacious.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html) to convert jet and viridis to sequences of 256 values representing . This is similar to what is done in the [matplotlib documentation](https://matplotlib.org/users/colormaps.html). These are normalized so they range from 0 to 1 and plotted against a linear sequence of 256 values from 0 to 1."
