Enterprise Linux installation of ODBC is easy.

yum install unixODBC unixODBC-devel freetds freetds-devel perl-DBD-ODBC perl-local-lib

Configuration isn't much harder. You'll need to edit UnixODBC's driver list to add FreeTDS as an available driver.
