Create new user (e.g. webhook) with the following permissions: Overall > Read, Job > Build, Job > Read & Job > Workspace. Login as the user and get their API token
Under a job, enable "Trigger Builds Remotely" and set an authentication token
Trigger a POST request with the following structure:

http://{USER}:{API_TOKEN}@{JENKINS_URL}/job/{JOB}/build?token={AUTHENTICATION_TOKEN}

By default the memory limit in Node.js is 512MB.

This will cause FATAL ERROR- JS Allocation failed – process out of memory when processing large data files.

It can be avoided by increasing the memory limit.

Go to File -> Settings -> Tools -> Terminal and change Shell path based on the the installed git version.

for 64bit:

General rules

Follow standard conventions.
Keep it simple stupid. Simpler is always better. Reduce complexity as much as possible.
