Setting up a SSL Cert from Comodo

I use Namecheap.com as a registrar, and they resale SSL Certs from a number of other companies, including Comodo.

These are the steps I went through to set up an SSL cert.

Purchase the cert

(wherever it says url.com, use your server's domain or IP)

Login to new server as root, then add a deploy user

sudo useradd --create-home -s /bin/bash deploy
sudo adduser deploy sudo
sudo passwd deploy

And Update the new password

# Convert the private key’s .p12 file into a .pem file:

# Finally, combine the certificate and key into a single .pem file
$ cat PushChatCert.pem PushChatKey.pem > ck.pem

# At this point it’s a good idea to test whether the certificate works.
