ruby-1.9.3-p327 cumulative performance patch for rbenv

ruby-1.9.3-p327 cumulative performance patch for rbenv

This installs a patched ruby 1.9.3-p327 with various performance improvements and a backported COW-friendly GC, all courtesy of funny-falcon.

Requirements

You will also need a C Compiler. If you're on Linux, you probably already have one or know how to install one. On OS X, you should install XCode, and brew install autoconf using homebrew.

FizzBuzz solved using only bit twiddling. It essentially uses two deterministic finite automata for divisibility testing.

I believe this was for their old graph feature that let you visualize the graph between all your friends. The filename is `mygraph.svgz` and contains some gems such as a commented out "zuck" d…

Don't use VPN services.

Don't use VPN services.

No, seriously, don't. You're probably reading this because you've asked what VPN service to use, and this is the answer.

Note: The content in this post does not apply to using VPN for their intended purpose; that is, as a virtual private (internal) network. It only applies to using it as a glorified proxy, which is what every third-party "VPN provider" does.

  • There's also this article about VPN services, which is honestly better written (and has more cat pictures!) than my article.
