BEM is a methodology for naming and classifying CSS selectors in a way to make them a lot more strict, transparent and informative.
The naming convention follows this pattern:
.block{}
.block__element{}
.block--modifier{}| // Using the Modular Scale plugin along with Compass Vertical Rhythms module. | |
| // The goal is to use MS to give us the values, | |
| // and use VR to apply those values to our typography. | |
| // --------------------------------------------------------------------------- | |
| // Defaults | |
| $base-size: 24px; | |
| $ratio: major-third() fifth(); |
Locate the section for your github remote in the .git/config file. It looks like this:
[remote "origin"]
fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
url = git@github.com:joyent/node.git
Now add the line fetch = +refs/pull/*/head:refs/remotes/origin/pr/* to this section. Obviously, change the github url to match your project's URL. It ends up looking like this:
| if (!document.querySelectorAll) { | |
| document.querySelectorAll = function(selector) { | |
| var doc = document, | |
| head = doc.documentElement.firstChild, | |
| styleTag = doc.createElement('STYLE'); | |
| head.appendChild(styleTag); | |
| doc.__qsaels = []; | |
| styleTag.styleSheet.cssText = selector + "{x:expression(document.__qsaels.push(this))}"; | |
| window.scrollBy(0, 0); |
Get Homebrew installed on your mac if you don't already have it
Install highlight. "brew install highlight". (This brings down Lua and Boost as well)
NOTE I now use the conventions detailed in the SUIT framework
Used to provide structural templates.
