JavaScript equivalents of some common C# LINQ methods. To help me remember!

How to deploy a static website to Heroku

Gist

This is a quick tutorial explaining how to get a static website hosted on Heroku.

Why do this?

Heroku hosts apps on the internet, not static websites. To get it to run your static portfolio, personal blog, etc., you need to trick Heroku into thinking your website is a PHP app. This 6-step tutorial will teach you how.

Basic Assumptions

This is a simple angularjs filter that makes big numbers into short format. 1 milion becomes 1m and 1122 becomes 1.1k
@app = angular.module 'myApp', []
@app.filter "nrFormat", ->
(number) ->
if number!=undefined
console.log number
abs = Math.abs(number)
if abs >= Math.pow(10, 12)
# trillion
number = (number / Math.pow(10, 12)).toFixed(1)+"t"
else if abs < Math.pow(10, 12) and abs >= Math.pow(10, 9)

A simple HashMap implementation in Javascript, just something I wrote while reading DailyJS.
var HashMap = function(){
this._size = 0;
this._map = {};
}
HashMap.prototype = {
put: function(key, value){
if(!this.containsKey(key)){
this._size++;
