Interview Practice Reflections

Interview Practice Reflections

1.) Watched Ian live Interview Emily I took alot away from watching this moch interview, but the thing that stood out to me the most is that when asked a question that she wasn't sure about Emily would say she was not completely sure, but would follow up with an educated guess. This was really great to see beacuse she showed that she was not afraid to be unsure about things, but was willing to try to answer anyways. Emily answered questions in a really thoughtful way. She always gave examples of times where she had come across new technologies or problems that Ian asked her about. I was incredibly grateful that they both went out of their way to give us a live visual of a real interview and I will be appliyng a lot of the techiniques used for future inteviews.

2.) Mock Whiteboarding Exercise With Brittany This was one of my favorite assesments and I was very nervous going in, but i think it gave me the confidence I needed to do well in future whiteboarding exercises. In this exercise we had to whiteboard the functionality of an elevator and talk through our thought process. After it was over Brittney said that She appreciated how quickly I was able to get things down and that i could answer a question she threw at me and get back to the code. I think this exercise was very important for us to have an idea of what a whiteboarding challenge would be like and I feel a little more prepared for future interviews.
