Module 4 Goals

By the end of mod 4 my top priority goal is to have a job.

Strategy To Achieve Goals:

  • Have 1 interview per week with companies in Seattle (talk to Leah/Meg about remote inteÂrviews)
  • Send 5-10 cold outreach emails a week

Coding (both including your module 4 curriculum and anything outside of it):

  • Make a solid schedule for the remainder of this mod and next mod and commit to checking it daily
  • Keep all of my deadlines recorded to stay on top of time management.

Opportunities Research:

I currently use my trello board to keep track of comoanies I have reached out to and want to reach out to.

Cold Outreach/Network:

So far I have only reached out to one Turing graduate living in Seattle. I plan to focus my search in the area I want to live and really stick to my 5-10 cold outreach emails a week. I have not spoken to any current alums to see how they focused their search, but that will my next step.

Timeline:

On a daily basis I want to dedicate a solid hour of research to find new people I want to reach out to. I think during the break will be a great time to get a head start on my cold outreaches and get into the habit of updating my trello board.

Module Tasks:

Through the module I will try to make time for at least 1 interview a week. I really need to get some experince in real life interviews.

Weekly Tasks:

My weekly tasks will be to make sure I've done at least one interview or sent out 5-10 cold outreach emails to companies I am interested in.

What I Will Work on with Meg

I think I would like to get a better handle on my plans and making sure I time manage so that I don't become overwhelmed.
