Challenge 1

The first thing I did was to put all three divs in an inline-block,gave them all the same color, width, and height by calling all div items in css and adding the command.I did this so that they were side-by-side instead of in a block. After I wrapped divs 1 and 2 into a section which I gave a class of "giv-container" to. I did this so that when I called the divs in CSS they could both be floated to the right and then moved into the corner. Once I had successfully floated my "giv-container" right I went ahead and specified margins. I did a margin of -8 for both the top and right margins so that boxes would go right into the upper right corner. Then I went ahead and specified margins for div1 and did the same -8 margin the left and top so that the box would go into the uper left corner. // Challenge 1 // this is a link in Markdown.

The three main things I want to focus on when it comes to accessability on my future sites are...

Effectiveness :

  • Making sure that the user can do what they set out to do on my site.

Efficiency :

  • How difficult it is for a user to accomplish their goal on my site. Making sure that it's easy to navigate the site so the user can get through it with ease.

Satisfaction :

  • Soley focuses on the user experience on my site and whether it's positive or not.

Let's say tech executives (consciously or subconsciously) seek teams in which at least 1/3 of team members are like them (gender, age, race). How will this impact the types of jobs available?

  • This will impact the jobs avaible for people that don't fit in the categery of "someone like me" If the only criteria to adding people to a team in a company is if they are like yourself you start to exclude a lot of different people from that company making it a very segragated environment with little to no diversity.

Diversity "quotas" are sometimes dismissed as counter-productive or missing the point of actually valuing diversity. PotP does demonstrate how they may add some value. What are your attitudes towarddiversity quotas; does this game change your assumptions?

  • I believe it is important to meet diversity quotes becuse it is important to check companies on

Job Search Strategies

  • Identify areas where you might place barriers on yourself in terms of the job search

    • One area that I would place a barrier would be speaking confidently if asked to to a code challenge. Mostly out of being nervous to get a question wrong.
  • Another area that may be a barrier for me would be negotiations. I don't think I have

Post-Grad Job Search Action Plan Template

  • What do you envision for your career? Somewhere that I feel like I can grow as a developer and be comfortable.

  • What do you want your 2nd and 3rd jobs to look like? I think as long as I keep on gowing and learning in this field I will be happy.

  • How do you want to be involved with the Turing community? The greater developer community? I would really like to reach out to young girls who have an interest in coding and encourage them to follow this path.

Interview Practice Reflections

Interview Practice Reflections

1.) Watched Ian live Interview Emily I took alot away from watching this moch interview, but the thing that stood out to me the most is that when asked a question that she wasn't sure about Emily would say she was not completely sure, but would follow up with an educated guess. This was really great to see beacuse she showed that she was not afraid to be unsure about things, but was willing to try to answer anyways. Emily answered questions in a really thoughtful way. She always gave examples of times where she had come across new technologies or problems that Ian asked her about. I was incredibly grateful that they both went out of their way to give us a live visual of a real interview and I will be appliyng a lot of the
