How to recover lost Python source code if it's still resident in-memory

How to recover lost Python source code if it's still resident in-memory

I screwed up using git ("git checkout --" on the wrong file) and managed to delete the code I had just written... but it was still running in a process in a docker container. Here's how I got it back, using https://pypi.python.org/pypi/pyrasite/ and https://pypi.python.org/pypi/uncompyle6

Attach a shell to the docker container

Install GDB (needed by pyrasite)

apt-get update && apt-get install gdb

Xcode - Duplicate Line key binding

NOTE (2022-07-09): Xcode finally added this functionality in Xcode 14, please see release notes here:

New Features in Xcode 14 Beta 3
When editing code, the Edit > Duplicate menu item and its corresponding keyboard shortcut now duplicate the selected text — or the line that currently contains the insertion point, if no text is selected. (8614499) (FB5618491)

This document intends to include all stops used by the DVB as of December 2015.
It was created by manually combining multiple DVB documents and improved by using a reverse engineered autocompletion API.
It is preformatted as PropertyList and can easily be handled as XML.
Consider this document as public domain, mentioning my name in your project would make me happy though.

Falsehoods programmers believe about addresses

Falsehoods programmers believe about addresses

This is an anchor-linked version of the excellent, amazing original opus magnum by Michael Tandy.

An address will start with, or at least include, a building number.

Counterexample: Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9DD, United Kingdom.

When there is a building number, it will be all-numeric.

Counterexample: 1A Egmont Road, Middlesbrough, TS4 2HT
