I want to write Rust code on my computer (x86_64, Ubuntu 14.04) and produce arm executables. I found hints on the internet, but not a concise set of instructions on what to do. So I wrote them down exactly:
apt-get install g++-arm-linux-gnueabihf
git clone https://github.com/mozilla/rust.git
mkdir rust/build-cross
cd rust/build-cross
../configure --target=arm-unknown-linux-gnueabihf --prefix=$HOME/local/rust-cross
make -j8 && make install
A very brief guide to Rust syntax. It assumes you are already familiar with programming concepts.
This was written in 2014. It is not a good reference for Rust today, though the content is still correct.
cheats.rs looks like a good alternative.

If you prefer to watch video tutorials with live-coding, then check out this series I recorded with the same contents as in this article: Egghead.io - Introduction to Reactive Programming.

Obligatory disclaimer, this is all opinion and cannot possibly generalize to all problems, workflows, environments, etc. This is meant primarily as a launching point for an open-ended discussion on best practices in debugging code. This is a sketch of what may be a brief book that covers each point below with anecdotes, examples, and techniques.
The ultimate goal of a debugging session is to rule out possibilities until only one remains. All applications of best practices, techniques, and tools should be pointed at this purpose (contextualize all points below against this statement). Debugging is first and foremost a critical thinking problem, and presence of mind is your most critical asset. Establish a mental model but do not be afraid to invalidate it as the investigation unfolds.
In Path to Rust Audio I briefly mentioned that the repos are in a variety of states of maintenance - here I'll give my own impression of the current state of each of the repositories.
ogg and lewton - active I believe both were started by est31, both seem to be actively used and worked on.
coreaudio-sys and coreaudio-rs - active I started these to add audio I/O support to CPAL a few years ago. I have since moved to Linux as my daily machine and don't often get the chance to test for them anymore, however Rhuagh has kindly taken over testing and reviews. I still try to review code when I can.
deepspeech-rs - seems active
