This gist shows how to create a GIF screencast using only free OS X tools: QuickTime, ffmpeg, and gifsicle.
To capture the video (filesize: 19MB), using the free "QuickTime Player" application:
| #!/bin/sh | |
| echo "What should the Application be called (no spaces allowed e.g. GCal)?" | |
| read inputline | |
| name=$inputline | |
| echo "What is the url (e.g. https://www.google.com/calendar/render)?" | |
| read inputline | |
| url=$inputline |
| alias gh="open \`git remote -v | grep git@github.com | grep fetch | head -1 | cut -f2 | cut -d' ' -f1 | sed -e's/:/\//' -e 's/git@/http:\/\//'\`" |
| // # Block Grid | |
| // | |
| // Technique adapted from Foundation 5 for Bootstrap 3.0.3 to at least 3.3.1. | |

| // | |
| // # Example Usage | |
| // | |
| // To produce a grid of 2 items per row on an extra-small screen, and 3 items | |
| // per row on a small screen: | |
| // |
| <script id="if_equals_example" type="text/x-handlebars-template"> | |
| {{#if_equals objectType 'message'}} | |
| <div class="message"> | |
| Message | |
| </div> | |
| {{else}} | |
| {{/if_equals}} | |
| </script> |
| /* | |

My notes for Dokku on Digital Ocean.
These may be a bit outdated: Since I originally wrote them, I've reinstalled on a newer Dokku and may not have updated every section below.
Install dokku-cli (gem install dokku-cli) for a more Heroku-like CLI experience (dokku config:set FOO=bar).
# List/run commands when not on Dokku server (assuming a "henroku" ~/.ssh/config alias)
ssh henroku dokku
