There's not much you need to know. It supports nesting and offsetting.
The idea is, you start with a row and add columns with a certain span to that row.
Here's a simple example.

We've got a report from one of our forward spies that the ECMAperium is approaching our base on JSth. Unfortunately we can't activate our shields because Cpt. Stupid Octavian lost his token.
