Proper way to use LiveReload with Laravel Elixir

Features

It works without touching laravel-elixir source files, so it will not break on updates.
It runs only on watch task, so that when you run other tasks, livereload will not start and hang the console.
It performs soft-reloads on CSS changes, instead of a full page reload.

Instructions

npm install gulp-livereload if you still don't have it.
Create an elixir.json file on the root of your project (where your gulpfile.js is located)

Components are taking center stage in Ember 2.0. Here are some things you can do today to make the transition as smooth as possible:

Use Ember CLI
In general, replace views + controllers with components
Only use controllers at the top-level for receiving data from the route, and use Ember.Controller instead of Ember.ArrayController or Ember.ObjectController
Fetch data in your route, and set it as normal properties on your top-level controller. Export an Ember.Controller, otherwise a proxy will be generated. You can use Ember.RSVP.hash to simulate setting normal props on your controller.

Postfix Installer

Following script may be used for configuring complete and secure email server on fresh install of Debian 7. It will probably work on other distributions using apt-get. After minor changes you'll be able to use it on other Linux distros.

Usage

Run postfix.sh script.
Configure postgres to allow connections.
Configure postfix admin. Remember to set these:

Prefix key

The default prefix is C-b. If you (or your muscle memory) prefer C-a, you need to add this to ~/.tmux.conf:

remap prefix to Control + a

Encrypted root filesystem on Debian Wheezy

This documents how to set up an encrypted root filesystem (except for /boot) on Debian Wheezy with automatic mounting using a keyfile on a USB drive.

Basic setup

In the Debian Installer, choose "Guided - use entire disk and set up encrypted LVM". That's it, on boot you will be asked to enter you passphrase using the keyboard. My system does not usually have a keyboard attached, so that's not very convenient (but read on).
