complete list of ffmpeg flags / commands
Originall From: Posted 2015-05-29 http://ubwg.net/b/full-list-of-ffmpeg-flags-and-options
This is the complete list that’s outputted by ffmpeg when running ffmpeg -h full.
usage: ffmpeg [options] [[infile options] -i infile]… {[outfile options] outfile}…
Getting help:
-h — print basic options
-h long — print more options
-h full — print all options (including all format and codec specific options, very long)

Convert SysV Init scripts to Systemd Unit File

Let's say you have a SysV Init Script named foo

  1. Copy the file to /etc/init.d/foo

  2. Enable the SysV service: chkconfig --add foo

  3. Enable the SysV service: chkconfig foo on

  4. Start the service: service foo start. After this, systemd-sysv-generator will generate this file /run/systemd/generator.late/foo.service, copy this file to /etc/systemd/system by running: cp /run/systemd/generator.late/foo.service /etc/systemd/system/foo.service

  5. Edit /etc/systemd/system/foo.service by running systemctl edit foo.service, add in the following line to foo.servie (this makes the service installable)

How effectively delete a git submodule.

To remove a submodule you need to:

  • Delete the relevant section from the .gitmodules file.
  • Stage the .gitmodules changes git add .gitmodules
  • Delete the relevant section from .git/config.
  • Run git rm --cached path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
  • Run rm -rf .git/modules/path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
  • Commit git commit -m "Removed submodule "
  • Delete the now untracked submodule files rm -rf path_to_submodule
