What I mean when I say "I think VR is bad news".
This just got linked to by the Y combinator news account, without proper context,
so a brief introduction: A month ago (end of May / early June 2014) I had a
Twitter conversation with a bunch of acquaintances. One tweet in the middle
of that thread, with obligatory hyperbole, was me saying that I think VR is
bad news.
Well, that part of the thread (but not the rest that provides context) recently
got retweeted, and then someone asked me if I could explain what I mean by that,
and because Twitter is a great platform for delivering 140 character slogans and
not so great for lengthy explanations, I wrote this. So, obligatory disclaimer:
#!/usr/bin/env node
var program = require('commander');
var request = require('request');
var chalk = require('chalk');
program
.version('0.0.1')
.usage('[options] <keywords>')
.option('-o, --owner [name]', 'Filter by the repositories owner')

error() {
local ecode="$1"
shift
echo "$*" 1>&2

This is a shell script to check a provided list of URLs to see if the websites are working or not. It was based on the answers provided to this question: http://stackoverflow.com/q/21391776/931860
#!/bin/sh
# ---- website-checker.sh ----
# Pings a list of websites using cURL to see if they are up and
# there are no errors. If there are problems, we send an email using mailx
# to let ourselves know about the problem.

(function(window,document,undefined){ ... })(this,this.document);
// when minified:
(function(w,d,u){ ... })(this,this.document);
// which means all uses of window/document/undefined inside the closure
