This face-boxer.py script is more-or-less the same code that you'll find in the OpenCV tutorial: Face Detection using Haar Cascades. For another variation, with more explanation, check out RealPython's tutorial.

Usage

The face-boxer.py script is designed to be run from the command-line. It has two required arugments:

The path to a XML file containing a Haar-cascade of visual features. In this example, it will be the features that make up a face.
The path to an image file that you want to perform face-detection on. You can pass in more than one image file as space-separated arguments.

-#, --progress-bar Make curl display a simple progress bar instead of the more informational standard meter.

-b, --cookie <name=data> Supply cookie with request. If no =, then specifies the cookie file to use (see -c).

-c, --cookie-jar <file name> File to save response cookies to.

Fixing our local environment with Browsersync

Whenever we change our templates we still have to use our build script and this can get annoying. Thankfully with webpack-dev-server and BrowserSync we can fix this:

npm i -D browser-sync browser-sync-webpack-plugin webpack-dev-server

BrowserSync will act like a proxy, waiting for webpack to do its thing and then reloading the browser for us.
