Self-extracting shell scripts

Guide to using MakeSelf tool to create self-extracting shell scripts for easy distribution

How to package your shell scripts project as a release which can be easily downloaded, extracted, and run.

This is intended to work with one or more executable scripts that use a shell shebang. This could work with other shebangs I guss, but you're probably better off using the packaging approach for that language.

This guide is written for macOS / Linux.

Install and Create Emulators using AVDMANAGER and SDKMANAGER

TL;DR

For an emulator that mimics a Pixel 5 Device with Google APIs and ARM architecture (for an M1/M2 Macbook):

List All System Images Available for Download: sdkmanager --list | grep system-images
Download Image: sdkmanager --install "system-images;android-30;google_atd;arm64-v8a"

Let's imagine we have a lot of mp3 files ( forexample one of the pluralsite courses converted to mp3 ).

Add user `ssh-agent` as daemon to Ubuntu 18.04LTS server

Create a new systemd user unit, which starts ssh-agent upon login to server. Will remain resident until the final session for the user has logged out.

Steps

Create /etc/systemd/user/ssh-agent.service.
Run the following commands (under your user account, not root) to install the systemd unit and start:
