So, you want to run Chrome headless.

Update May 2017

Eric Bidelman has documented some of the common workflows possible with headless Chrome over in https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/04/headless-chrome.

Update

If you're looking at this in 2016 and beyond, I strongly recommend investigating real headless Chrome: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/lkgr/headless/README.md

Windows and Mac users might find using Justin Ribeiro's Docker setup useful here while full support for these platforms is being worked out.

AppleScript and JavaScript for Automation to get frontmost tab’s url and title of various browsers.
-- AppleScript --
-- This example is meant as a simple starting point to show how to get the information in the simplest available way.
-- Keep in mind that when asking for a `return` after another, only the first one will be output.
-- This method is as good as its JXA counterpart.
-- Webkit variants include "Safari", "Webkit", "Orion".
-- Specific editions are valid, including "Safari Technology Preview".
-- "Safari" Example:
tell application "Safari" to return name of front document

My boilerplate contract

Website Contract [month] [year]

Description of this Contract

This contract is not meant to trick or deceive you; the intention is purely to protect both parties. I have tried to keep the wording as plain as possible, but if anything is unclear, please let me know and I will be more than happy to clarify it with you. Also, until you sign it, please feel free to request to change bits of it to suit your requirements.

In short, [client name] is contracting me, [my name], to [description of my role] between [start date and finish date].

By signing this, you are confirming that you have the power and ability to enter into this contract on behalf of [client's company].

WebGL GLSL SAO (Scalable Ambient Obscurance) fragment shader. SAO is a more efficient method for computing SSAO (Screen-Space Ambient Occlusion). Converts the g-buffer to an occlusion buffer which estimates local ambient occlusion at each fragment in screen-space. For details on the technique itself, see: McGuire et al [12] http://graphics.cs.wi…

A new user's guide to SublimeText 2. Estimated reading time: 2 mins. Estimated workthrough time: 12 minutes.

Make it useful

  • Install Package Control. For SublimeText 2, paste the following in Terminal:
import urllib2,os; pf='Package Control.sublime-package'; ipp = sublime.installed_packages_path(); os.makedirs( ipp ) if not os.path.exists(ipp) else None; urllib2.install_opener( urllib2.build_opener( urllib2.ProxyHandler( ))); open( os.path.join( ipp, pf), 'wb' ).write( urllib2.urlopen( 'http://sublime.wbond.net/' +pf.replace( ' ','%20' )).read()); print( 'Please restart Sublime Text to finish installation')

From here on out, use Package Control to install everything. +Shift+P, then type Install to get a list of installable packages you can 'livesearch through. After installing plugins, they should be running.
