Pure ESM package

The package that linked you here is now pure ESM. It cannot be require()'d from CommonJS.

This means you have the following choices:

Use ESM yourself. (preferred)
Use import foo from 'foo' instead of const foo = require('foo') to import the package. You also need to put "type": "module" in your package.json and more. Follow the below guide.
If the package is used in an async context, you could use await import(…) from CommonJS instead of require(…).
Stay on the existing version of the package until you can move to ESM.

PureScript is currently in a transitional period with regards to how new packages are published. As such, the process of publishing a package is rather arduous. You will need: spago, pulp, and bower.

Make sure your package name is unique by searching for it in bower-packages.json and new-packages.json. Alternatively you can search Pursuit as well, but those two files are the sources of truth.
Make sure the module names in your package are globally unique by searching for them on Pursuit. Unfortunately this is a requirement with the current technology. However, finding a module with the same name on Pursuit doesn't mean all hope is lost. Module names only have to be unique in the package set. So you can use the information in step 6 to see if your module name is actually taken. There is a good number of package

If you, like me, resent every dollar spent on commercial PDF tools, you might want to know how to change the text content of a PDF without having to pay for Adobe Acrobat or another PDF tool. I didn't see an obvious open-source tool that lets you dig into PDF internals, but I did discover a few useful facts about how PDFs are structured that I think may prove useful to others (or myself) in the future. the PDF standard is truly Byzantine -- but they worked for my case.

React Native + macOS + Clojurescript

Project Catalyst

Since the recent release of Catalina, macOS has shipped with the ability to allow iOS/iPAD apps to run on macOS without any modification via a featureset known as Project Catalyst.

This is exciting, as writing React Native + Clojurescript apps as a target for the desktop is much more compelling than a pure Electron app (imo).
