条件

  • カスタムレイヤー.PublicIPaddress以外はデフォルト
  • 実験のタイミングではインスタンスは再起動ではなく、常にdelete,create
  • t2.micro
  • AmazonLinux2015.03
  • EBS backed
  • GeneralPurpose(SSD)

起動時間結果

  • setup,04:55,configure,01:18
  • setup,04:50,configure,01:18
  • setup,04:52,configure,01:18
  • setup,05:00,configure,01:18
  • setup,04:54,configure,01:19

既存EC2インスタンスのレイヤーへの追加

  • 追加はブラウザのOpsWorksから設定できる
  • クライントにAWS CLIがインストールされている前提
  • OpsWorksエージェントインストール時に他のモジュールもインストールされる
$yum -y groupinstall Development tools
$yum -y install ruby18 ruby18-devel rubygems18 libicu-devel openssl-devel libxml2-devel libxslt-devel monit
  • 一度unregistしてその後、再registをリモートから実施するとChefの途中の処理？で失敗した。対象サーバーにログインし、--localで実行したら成功
  • 既存のインスタンスをレイヤーに追加はできるが、常時起動のタイプのみの登録となりそう。(Time-based、Load-basedインスタンス）
