YARA Performance Guidelines

When creating your rules for YARA keep in mind the following guidelines in order to get the best performance from them. This guide is based on ideas and recommendations by Victor M. Alvarez and WXS.

Revision 1.4, October 2020, applies to all YARA versions higher than 3.7

Virtual Hosts on nginx (CSC309)

When hosting our web applications, we often have one public IP address (i.e., an IP address visible to the outside world) using which we want to host multiple web apps. For example, one may wants to host three different web apps respectively for example1.com, example2.com, and example1.com/images on the same machine using a single IP address.

How can we do that? Well, the good news is Internet browsers

Never touch your local /etc/hosts file in OS X again

To setup your computer to work with *.test domains, e.g. project.test, awesome.test and so on, without having to add to your hosts file each time.
