Open/Goto

super+t: go to file
super+ctrl+p: go to project
super+r: go to methods

There's no need to make the phone S-OFF (like some people say).

Disable fast/quick reboot (Settings » Power » Fastboot)
Download fastboot binary
Unlock bootloader: http://htcdev.com/bootloader/

Put the phone in Fastboot USB mode (Turn off, hold Volume Down + Power)

Share Counts

I have always struggled with getting all the various share buttons from Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest, etc to align correctly and to not look like a tacky explosion of buttons. Seeing a number of sites rolling their own share buttons with counts, for example The Next Web I decided to look into the various APIs on how to simply return the share count.

If you want to roll up all of these into a single jQuery plugin check out Sharrre

Many of these API calls and methods are undocumented, so anticipate that they will change in the future. Also, if you are planning on rolling these out across a site I would recommend creating a simple endpoint that periodically caches results from all of the APIs so that you are not overloading the services will requests.

Asynchronous programming can be tricky for beginners, therefore I think it's useful to iron some basic concepts to avoid common pitfalls.

Python using virtualenv and pip

With every project you write in python, you will have different libraries that you lean on. Some projects might use the same library, but different versions. For this reason, the Python library virtualenv was created. To enable a developer to quickly create new environments.

Every virtualenv instance comes with pip installed, which is a package manager for python. This allows you to do install packages like so.
