Sortrait is a free app made by Adam Whitcroft. It helps you organize your Photos library, with sorting handled locally on your device.
We do not receive your photos, videos, or sorting history. Sortrait does not use advertising networks, analytics tools, or AI services, and we do not sell your personal information.
With your permission, Sortrait accesses photos, videos, and related information, such as their dates, to display and sort your library.
Flagging an item does not delete it. Sortrait only deletes items you select and confirm through Apple’s system confirmation.
You can revoke photo access at any time in your device’s Settings.
Sortrait saves your sorting progress, references to flagged items, streaks, cleanup totals, and preferences locally so you can continue where you left off.
This information remains on your device as needed to provide these features. You can remove Sortrait’s saved data by deleting the app using Delete App in Settings. Offloading the app keeps its saved data. Deleting Sortrait does not delete your Photos library.
Optional daily reminders are scheduled locally. You can turn them off in Sortrait or your device’s notification settings.
Sortrait shares photos or videos only when you choose to use the share feature. The selected files are passed to the app or destination you choose, which handles them under its own privacy practices.
Sortrait creates temporary copies to prepare sharing and removes them after the sharing process finishes.
If you use iCloud Photos, Apple may download media to your device for Sortrait to display. Apple manages photo syncing according to your settings.
Sortrait’s saved app data may also be included in device backups. Backups and iCloud services are managed by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not have access to them.
