System volume stick with VLC volume

Seems that the problem is caused by pulse audio. To change this behaviour just:

  • Tools
  • Preferences
  • Show Settings - All
  • Main Interface
  • And select as Interface Module Qt interface
  • Then select Audio - Output Modules
  • And change to ALSA audio output
