What did you do before Turing?
- I studied a bachelor in music back in mexico, After I was a music proferssor and I tried to be envolve in certain music projects such as gigs, music for advertising and visaul media. Just 6 monthns I moved to Denver, and I started to work in an warehouse of Amazon.
What made you decide to come to Turing?
- I was fortunate that my roomie work as a software developer, he opened me a door to a new world not just to coding but also a way of living. He is also a musician and he is the first person who has transmitted to me the same passion and love to his programming career. I chose Turing because you have to focus only in one side of the software developer (Front-end or Back-end) even though my goal is become a full-stack developer. I think this ideology and structure that turing has in their programs will be really helpful not only in my career but also in my personal life, because I'm doing a change in life also.
What are you most excited about exploring in your career in tech?
- Understand the developers language is a key that will open many doors, because is not only programming is a lifestyle and the world that we are living now is full of possibilities in the technology. I believe is related to the music, when we listen a good piece of music is awesome but understand the language and how was created is simply magical, and I wonder that it happens in the software developers world.

- My background is in music, but the last months I have been working in a Warehouse and I have been learning new things as how the warehouse operates, and also this gave me the opportunity to understand a little more about job culture that United States has.
- I have dual nationality but all my family and life i have been living in Mexico. Just a few months ago I moved to Denver, and there is two things that have been a challenging for me:
The english language. Sometimes I don’t have the right words to express myself or understanding everything. I feel unsecure about my sometimes for that reason.
I have been working to adapt to a new culture, sometimes is hard to be interact with more people or know how to be part of a group.
