Instructions on removing apps from Windows 8 / Windows 10

RemoveMetroApps.md

List all packages

Get-AppxPackage | Select Name, PackageFullName

To remove apps from your current user.

1. Open PowerShell (DO NOT open as Administrator)
2. Run this command

Get-AppxPackage PackageFullName | Remove-AppxPackage

To remove apps from the system account

1. Open PowerShell as Administrator

2. Run this command

    Get-AppXProvisionedPackage -online | Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -online
   

To remove apps from the system account (this command doesn't seem to work as advertised)

1. Open PowerShell as Administrator

2. Run this command

    Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage
