On Ubuntu >=14.04, if you see this when using Apache

AH00558: apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1. Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message

Do:

  1. echo "ServerName localhost" | sudo tee /etc/apache2/conf-available/fqdn.conf
  2. sudo ln -s /etc/apache2/conf-available/fqdn.conf /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/fqdn.conf
